Sheldon has a lot of well-kept inter-war housing where the fabric of the property is in good order but the electrical installation has not kept pace with how the house is now used.
Adding sockets, improving lighting and replacing an ageing board usually makes far more difference day to day than people expect.
Homes and electrics in Sheldon
Bay-fronted semis and similar properties in the area often have limited socket provision in bedrooms and living rooms, which is why extension leads tend to multiply.
Where floors and skirtings allow reasonable access, additional circuits can often be run with less disruption than homeowners assume.
We also cover Yardley, Garretts Green, Marston Green, Lyndon and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

- Can extra sockets be added without a full rewire?
- Usually yes, provided the existing circuits are sound and have capacity. We test first and will tell you if the circuit cannot take more.
- How disruptive is adding a new circuit?
- It depends on the route. Lifting a section of floor upstairs is often enough, and we agree access and making good before starting.
Sheldon is one of the service areas we cover. We visit customers at home and do not operate a public office in every town we work in.
